Transfer at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport
If you're catching a connecting flight, EASY CDG will help you every step of the way !
Passport holders from some nations require a transit visa when transiting through Paris-CDG.
We recommend that you check with your airline or your consulate.
Connecting time
• When booking your ticket, mind a minimum connecting time (security measures + transfer between the terminals).
60 minutes intra Terminals 1/2/3
75 minutes between Terminals 1 and 2
75 minutes between Terminals 1/2 and Terminal 3
Note that most boarding gates close 10 minutes prior to departure.
Pre-boarding security screening will require additional 10-15 minutes especially during peak hours.
Before departure
• If you are travelling internationally, a valid passport is normally required.
For some countries, you may also need a visa.
• Make sure you know which terminal you will arrive and depart from so that you can plan your route through the airport.
At your departure airport
• A boarding pass for your outward flight will be given.
You’ll find on it informations such as your flight number, your departing terminal at Paris-Charles de Gaulle
(Terminal 1, 2A, 2B, 2C etc...) and even sometimes the boarding gate.
Keep your ticket and boarding pass handy during your trip.

Do you need to pick up baggage ?
• Most of the time your luggages will be directly checked-thru to your final destination (ask for confirmation).
You’ll don’t have to pick-up and re-check your baggage.
• If you need to collect your baggage at CDG you'll follow the normal arrivals process,
then check in at your departure terminal.
Once you arrive at Paris-CDG
• Signs marked “Correspondances”/“Flight Connections” lead the way and guide you.
• When you arrive, you will find airline transfer desks, use them if you need to collect a boarding card
or if you have any queries about your flight.
• You are strongly recommended to get to your departure terminal as early as possible.
Flight information can change at any time.
Always confirm flight arrival and departure information with airport monitors for last minute updates.
Transfer routes at CDG
• Terminal buildings are located separately.
The procedure for connecting flights depends on where you're flying to and from.
